Topic #1 - Wyatt has an eye for natural beauty. He will often comment on a picturesque view or an interesting sight. One day last month, he was up quite early and had the opportunity to photograph the sun rising over the trees in our backyard. I think he did a fine job and can see a camera in his future.
In his words, he tried to 'focus on the trees' and let the light show in the background.
The color comes through a bit better in this one. (It really was a pretty morning.) He definitely has a good eye!
Now, time for topic #2. We've not had much snow this winter. In fact, I think we've had more rain than snow. But we were blessed with about 10 inches of the white stuff on Wednesday and I let the kids out in the late afternoon to frolic about in it.
Instead of a traditional home-cooked meal, the kids opted for 'snow a la mode', a winter-time favorite.
Dagny decided to 'catch her own' flakes.
It tasted so good that Liam decided to try this approach as well.
For obvious reasons, he wasn't very successful.
Ever his own person, Levi was playing knight on the picnic table. (Good thing they ate first!)
Then he realized that Mom was taking his picture.
Togo kept guard as he always does...
while Wyatt decided to have a snow fight with the photographer!
Absent from the fun were Eowyn, who was sleeping, and Dieter, who was hard at work inside.
We are supposed to get more snow tonight. It should be an interesting day tomorrow - maybe we'll even get a snow jump built!
